Luxury French fashion house Balmain has opened their first flagship store in London. Located in Mayfair, on South Audley Street, Balmain hired Joseph Dirand, the architect who oversaw the brand's Paris flagship transformation back in 2009, to design the space. The new 220-square-meter boutique has a stone exterior, with both the front window and glass entry framed in black lacquer and gold leaf. The interiors rely on the same antique brass and polished stainless steel fixtures that Dirand designed for the Paris flagship, while the stone floor’s geometric design---created with beige thalas and grey hainaut stone---is a play on traditional English parquet patterns. If you happen to be in the area be sure to stop by.
