Here at Highsnobiety Music HQ, we believe in celebrating Valentine’s Day the way you see fit. Whether you live for getting all lovey dovey every time February 14th rolls around – making dinner reservations and copping bae a Supreme box logo hoodie, for example – or you prefer to renounce the holiday as a tool reinforcing the gosh darn neoliberal capitalist patriarchy, special occasions are always better with a soundtrack.
Luckily, none other than Brittany Byrd came through in a major way with the Anti-Valentine’s Day playlist we didn’t know we desperately needed. The founder of Horrible Records collective who also happens to be romantically and inspirationally involved with one of our favorite Marilyn Manson fan Lil Uzi Vert – Byrd slid into our professional DM’s with this soon to be legendary soundtrack all about self-love and female empowerment.
Stream the playlist via Apple Music below, featuring Bibi Bourelly, Jorja Smith, Lana Del Rey, Fergie, Radiohead, and of course Lil Uzi Vert. Fear not, for Horrible Records’ first playlist certainly won’t be their last – it’s set to become your new monthly music ritual.
If you’re digging the playlist as much as we are, you might also be interested in Horrible Records’ exclusive new merch making its debut today, in collaboration with Saint Babylon, which you can check out below and cop right here.
