Cardi B is not letting fans tell her how to parent. The rapper is clapping back at haters who criticized her for gifting her 2 year-old an $8,000 Birkin bag.

On July 10, Cardi  and Offset celebrated their daughter Kulture's second birthday with a lavish party, amongst the extravagant gifts was the pink Birkin. In a video posted to his Instagram, the Migos rapper captured the moment he presented the gift to the toddler. "Late is better than never I Birkin my baby," he captioned the post, which has been viewed over 3 million times.

The comments section blew up, with many fans throwing shade at the rapper parents for gifting the luxurious bag to their two-year-old. "Poor chile just wanted a dolly lol," one commenter wrote.

Another commented, "She bout to put crayons, snacks, wrappers and some opened gummy candies in a purse that’s worth more than my life on the black market. I’m goin to sleep."

However, Cardi was having none of it and is not about to apologize for her expensive taste. The rapper shared a characteristically Bardi video response defending the gift with her 70.6million Instagram followers yesterday.

“I know when celebrities buy their kids jewellery and designer shit, people be like ‘kids don’t care about that, they only care about toys and candy,'" Cardi explained. "But the thing is, kids also go outside. Kids go to restaurants, kids go to fancy places. Celebrity kids, they go do red carpets."

She continued, “If I’m fly, and daddy’s fly, then so is the kid. If I’m wearing Cha-nay-nay [Chanel], my kid’s having the same thing. It’s not up to what the kids like. If it was the kids, they’d be outside in diapers [...] 'cause if I was looking like a bad bitch, expensive bitch, and I had my kid looking like a bum bum, then y’all would be talking shit."
