In celebration of the Clarks Desert Boot's 65th anniversary, we teamed up with Clarks Originals and headed over to Leeds-based tannery Charles F. Stead to learn more about the duo's historic working relationship. A family-run tannery, Charles F. Stead's Douglas Crack traces the roots of their partnership which resulted in the first-ever Desert Boot back in 1949. Over the course of about 3.5 minutes, we're privy to firsthand knowledge of how the tannery entered the shoe industry, as well as a closeup look at the extensive process behind each roll of leather.
