Clarks Originals

Legendary British shoemaker Clarks Originals has given us a taste of what’s to come in Fall/Winter 2018 with a pre-season drop of its Trigenic models. The new designs continue to progress the brand’s Trigenic collection, this time with a premium knitted treatment and muted color palette.

Clarks Originals first introduced its Trigenic concept back in summer 2014. This adventurous step saw the brand break into new, progressive territory and establish a modern range alongside its roster of well-loved icons. But, rather than succumb to the chase for the new and continue to drop totally new designs one after another, the brand has strategically taken a 'less is more' approach to focus on what it does well and evolve it carefully over time. So, back in 2017 after the Trigenic Flex had been on the market for two years, the brand took a further leap into the future with the aptly named Trigenic Evo.

Now, Clarks Originals is bringing freshness to the range and elevating the Trigenic Evo and Trigenic Flex with a snug knit update. While on the Flex this is a simple material iteration, the Evo receives an additional knitted sock construction for extra comfort.

The unisex drop takes inspiration from the colors of the Scandinavian landscape in winter in a subdued color palette of sand, olive, and black. The knit material is made from a mix of cotton and natural yarn from Italian Cypress trees, which creates subtle variations in color mirroring the marled look of traditional knitwear. Both reworked uppers are made with the Trigenic asymmetric last and sit atop its distinctive three-part outsole and supportive Vibram footbed, making for a super soft and supremely comfortable wear.
