Converse is readying to release its first-ever genderless apparel collection. The capsule is titled SHAPES and in the accompanying teaser, the brand asks, "what if apparel was built agnostic of gender?"

Expected to arrive this fall, SHAPES riffs off the appeal of the popular unisex Chuck Taylor, creating clothing that is "not designed for gender, but instead for body shape, created from the belief that size is a reference point, not an identity."

The collection – made from 50 percent recycled cotton and 50 percent virgin cotton – features five core pieces. Genderless options such as the black Bubble Crew and Triangle Front Chino as seen in the teaser below will arrive in four sizes only, breaking traditional from the 14 different sizes that are typically offered across men's and women's ranges.

SHAPES is the first of three apparel collections expected from Converse with the other two "Utility Fleece" and "Court Ready" expected in 2021.
