Brett Lloyd / Dior

Brand: Dior x sacai

Season: FW21

Key Pieces: The saddle bag, aka fashion's favorite IT bag, will definitely be one of the first to go in this collection, but we're particularly feeling the hat collection — from berets to outback hats, our heads will look good this Fall.

Release Date: The capsule arrives this November, exact date tbc.

Buy: tbc but likely at Dior online and in-store

Editor’s Notes: Dior is teaming up with cult Japanese brand sacai for the duo's first co-branded collection. Kim Jones worked together with Chitose Abe (the two are longtime friends but this is their first time collaborating) to co-design the 57 item capsule that draws from both brands' heritage, in what the press release describes as "a true fusion" of creative visions.

The release combines classic Dior silhouettes — think the saddle bag, overcoats, or the Tailleur Oblique — with sacai-favored fabrics and details like Japanese denim in workwear shapes, and utilitarian nylon with added pockets and drawstrings. To complete the collaboration, the Dior logo is transformed with the sacai logo being written insiden the "i" in Dior.

“Sacai is one of my first stops when I go to Japan,” Kim Jones told WWD. “I’ve always loved [Chitose Abe] and I just think she’s one of the coolest women in the world. And we talked about doing this since I was at Vuitton, and then finally it happened.” Browse the collection above.
