Berlin brand GmbH has been killing it lately, having recently sent Berghain-ready sportswear, shiny pants, dapper suits, and a possible ASICS collaboration down its Paris Fashion Week runway for its SS19 “Survival Strategies” collection.
Founded by Benjamin Alexander Huseby and Serhat Isik, the brand also tackles issues of identity and diversity, embracing “otherness” in all its forms. If these FW18 gloves from the brand are anything to by, it’s safe to say GmbH is a big advocate for recycling, too.
Made with deadstock leather sourced from a high-end Milan factory, GmbH’s Akin biker gloves are not only mind-blowing aesthetically speaking — with embroidered logo details, traditional hard knuckle guards, and strap closures — but they also send a message against fashion’s overconsumption.
While the materials are reclaimed, however, the price-point is far from thrifty. Retailing at $1,450, these gloves are sure to be the stand-out piece of any winter ’fit, but they’re certainly sitting at the higher end of the winter accessory spectrum.
Whether you plan on copping, or just clicked through for some window shopping, you can take a closer look at the gloves below.
