Harmony Korine's experimental short film shot using Snapchat's Spectacles 3 is officially here. Titled Duck Duck, the picture explores storytelling in 3D.

Korine, known for the films Kids, Spring Breakers, and Beach Bum, uses Spectacles 3 to venture into wearable cinema, augmented reality, and immersive storytelling. Set in Miami, the hybrid reality of Duck Duck comes to life through engaging 3D effects that are available to Spectacles 3 users on Snapchat.

“Spectacles 3 is a completely unique format that shifted my perspective on film, narrative, what’s animated and what’s real,” says Korine. “By combining a first-person point of view and 3D Effects, the sunglasses inhabit their own hyper-personal universe, and helped inspire the multi-sensory experience of Duck Duck - like you can walk into this world when you watch it.”

Duck Duck is premiering this week at Art Basel Miami with support by Gucci. Korine has collaborated with the fashion house multiple times in the past, including the Holiday 2019 “Gift Giving” campaign, Cruise 2020 campaign, Pre-Fall 2019 collection lookbook, and more.

In addition to the film, Korine partnered with Gucci and Snapchat for limited edition Spectacles 3, inspired by Korine and designed with Gucci. You can virtually try on the glasses here.
