Kappa

Kappa looks back on over 50 years of sports history with its latest exhibition in Tokyo, titled “Path to the Future.” Spanning the years 1967 – 2019, the retrospective took place in the city’s Harajuku district and was curated by Kazuku Kuraishi and PRODISM’s Atsuo Watanabe.

Flip through the gallery above and you’ll note standouts from the exhibition including archival advertisements and packaging, jerseys and kits for the US Olympics team, football jerseys and recent collaborations from FAITH CONNEXION, Gosha Rubchinskiy, A.FOUR LABS and P.A.M.

Coinciding with the launch of the exhibition, a Kappa history book was launched, produced by PRODISM. The book highlights Kappa’s rich history and archive, and includes interviews with Marco and Lorenzo Boglione, Kazuki Kuraishi, Shauna Toohey (P.A.M.), Luca Ferrari, Yixi Chen, and Marcelo Burlon, among others. Look for it now at TSUTAYA and other book stores in Japan, with a worldwide release to follow.
