This week Kelela delivers the official music video coinciding with the first single from her upcoming debut album, Take Me Apart.
In "LMK," we find the budding songstress unleashing some fire choreography, while sporting various-colored wigs at what appears to be a futuristic nightclub. And while the venue may look ahead of its time, the overall vibe of the aesthetic is notably reminiscent of the '90s.
"The song is directed at a man who's being weird instead of being honest," Kelela revealed when speaking with The FADER. "Does casual have to be careless? Is wifey the only woman who deserves your respect, and why do you think I want more when I demand it? These are my questions..."
Kelela's debut LP is due out October 6.
