Fabled French footwear label Kickers releases its new looks for FW16, dropping three brand new silhouettes as well as a revamped look to their legendary Kick Hi boot.

The Kymbo Mocc, Kwamie Boot and Kymbo Lace Up work emblematic Kickers design without necessarily rejecting the label’s DNA. The Kymbo Mocc pairs Kickers' trademark chunky tread on the outsole with the brand’s own unique take on the classic moccasin boot construction. Meanwhile, the Kwamie Boot, available in a range of casual suede colorways, follows in a similar vein.

Kickers' Kymbo Lace Up's sport-casual vibe reworks trademark features for an updated silhouette, with an upper constructed from dress and denim blue paired with Kickers’ signature Cloud Cream colored sole unit. The iconic red and green tabbing seen on the lateral flank has been replaced with single stitch, with the triple stitch maintained across the boot’s front.

Finally, for the boot that made the brand’s name, Kickers’ Kick Hi gets a full tonal drop, available in sassafras purple, pine green, denim blue, and Rio red for a look that's feels like its got one foot in '90s nostalgia and another firmly planted in contemporary style.

Founded in 1970, the French label’s aesthetic is heavily influenced by Parisian ’60s style, yet its Kick Hi boot managed to transcend the left bank revolutionary look when it was adopted by the English rave and Madchester scene of the late '80s and early '90s as well as seen on the English hip-hop scene in the mid-'00s.
