Deadline reports that Kid Cudi has joined the cast for the Nicholas Jarecki-directed opioid crisis thriller Dreamland. The rapper will star alongside Gary Oldman, Sam Worthington, Armie Hammer, Evangeline Lilly, and Indira Varma.

The film follows three individuals in the midst of an international opiod crisis--a drug trafficker that smuggles drugs between Canada and the US, an architect recovering from an OxyContin addiction, and a university professor discovering surprising details about his research employer. Cudi will reportedly portray an FDA investigator tasked with inspecting prescription safety while Worthington plays a pharmaceutical scientist and Varma plays a university administrator.

Filming is already underway in Montreal, but an official release date has not been revealed at this time. However, IMDB states that it will be out in 2020.
