ASICS / Frank Lebon

Brand: Kiko Kostadinov x ASICS

Model: GEL-Sokat Infinity

Key Features: The sneaker features a full-length, translucent GEL midsole borrowed from the GEL-Quantum Infinity. A mesh upper with synthetic overlays at the toe box comes with a spiral "a" logo rather than ASICS’ signature stripes on the medial and lateral sides. Mismatched colors, an asymmetrical design, and ASICS branding on the tongue complete the look.

Release Date: April 5-6 (pre-release) and April 19 (full release)

Price: €280 (likely $280)

Buy: Select retailers such as Voo Store

Editor’s Notes: ASICS and Kiko Kostadinov's partnership continues with the GEL-Sokat Infinity, a hybrid sneaker that takes the full-length GEL midsole from the GEL-Quantum Infinity and places it under an upper with a mesh base and oversized ASICS branding on the lateral side.

The model was teased at Kostadinov's SS19 show in June 2018 and follows Kostadinov’s ASICS GEL-Burz 1 and GEL-Delva models. The Bulgarian designer has become a person of interest for sneakerheads, thanks to the elevated quality of his ASICS collaborations, with each of his past projects featuring premium materials and distinctive designs for a tasteful (and costlier) dad shoe alternative.

The GEL-Sokat Infinity will be available in three colorways and drops alongside an apparel capsule comprising various performance-focused pieces, such as knit tops and track pants. Check out the collection above in the Frank Lebon-shot promo campaign.
