McDonald's is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Shamrock Shake with a new version that is worth nearly $100,000. The Golden Shamrock Shake arrives as it is customary to commemorate 50 years with a gift of gold.

The special edition Shamrock Shake comes in a lavish cup made with high-polish 18K gold. It also incorporates 50 green emeralds and white diamonds as a nod to 50 years of the Shamrock flavor, while 50 yellow diamonds appear in each of the golden arches to represent 50 years of being a fan-favorite item at McDonald's.

McDonald's has created the Golden Shamrock Shake to raise money for Ronald McDonald House Charities. The item is in turn being auctioned on the RMHC eBay for charity page from February 25 through March 6, with the starting bid listed at $1. Proceeds from the winning bid will go to Ronald McDonald House Charities to support families with ill or injured children.

Additionally, one lucky customer can win the Golden Shamrock Shake by using the McDonald’s Global Mobile App. Simply purchase a Shamrock Shake or OREO Shamrock McFlurry through Mobile Order and Pay, and you will automatically be entered for a chance to win.
