After going back and forth with her label, which is reportedly attempting to keep her from releasing new music, Megan Thee Stallion announces that her new debut album, Suga, will be arriving this Friday, March 6. The Houston-born rapper took to social media to reveal the release date, also sharing the album cover and coinciding tracklist.

Megan began the week by announcing that she would be dropping new music on Friday. Since then, however, she has come out and said that her label, 1501 Certified Entertainment, is prohibiting her from releasing new material. In attempts to remedy this, the rapper filed a restraining order against 1501, as the label then called for an emergency court hearing to resolve the issue.

As of this morning, TMZ reports that a judge has ruled in favor of Megan, ultimately rejecting 1501's motion to dissolve the restraining order. So in short, she can release music on Friday after all.

Megan Thee Stallion originally announced her new album late last year. More recently, she hinted at a release date surrounding her late mother's birthday of May 2 in a new interview with Rolling Stone. Now, however, we see that Suga will be arriving on Friday, March 6, per Megan's social media post, and will include features from Kehlani and Gunna. Suga serves as Megan's debut album, following her 2019 break-out mixtape Fever.

Be sure to check back with us tomorrow for Megan Thee Stallion's Suga.
