In following up on House of Cards, David Fincher has yet another Netflix original series in the works with Mindhunter. Based on the 1996 nonfiction book Mindhunter: Inside the FBI's Elite Serial Crime Unit by John Douglas and Mark Olshaker, the show will center around a pair of FBI agents who interview imprisoned serial killers with hopes of closing unsolved cases.
Mindhunter is set in 1979 and stars Jonathan Groff as Special Agent Holden Ford and Holt McCallany as fellow agent Bill Tench. Anna Torv and Coter Smith also star in the upcoming Netflix series, produced by Fincher and Charlize Theron.
Mindhuter premieres on Netflix in October.
