Tesla is building a pickup truck, and Elon Musk is very, very stoked about it. Speaking in an interview to Recode, Musk spoke about the project, which was previously confirmed in 2017, writing that it's the one he's "personally most excited about."

"It’s gonna be awesome, it’s gonna be amazing. This will be heart-stopping. It stops my heart. It’s like, oh, it’s great,” Musk enthused, adding that it's "gonna be like a really futuristic-like cyberpunk, Blade Runner pickup truck."

Musk was a little less forthcoming when asked about the truck's target market, saying, "It’s something I’ve been wanting to make for a long time. If there’s only a small number of people that like that truck, I guess we’ll make a more conventional truck in the future." Earlier this year, the Tesla boss spoke about the truck on Twitter, and described how it will be an all-wheel-drive "with crazy torque."

Elsewhere in the piece, Musk said that Tesla won't be building a motorbike any time soon, citing how the vehicles are dangerous and an incident where he almost got killed driving one as a 17-year-old. "We’re not gonna make motorcycles," he said, before going on to rule out the possibility of Tesla ever making a plane.

Staying with Tesla, the company's new "Summon" feature is like driving a "big RC car."
