Editor’s Notes: New Balance introduces a new seasonal outdoor collection referred to as New Balance “All Terrain.” Focusing on construction, technology, fit, and fabrication, in addition to style, “All Terrain” doubles up as an on-trend lifestyle collection. The debut release consists of the 850 “All Terrain” and Hierro v5, alongside an apparel capsule fit for both the trails and the streets.
New Balance’s 850AT is a trail-inspired sneaker designed for duality. The shoe offers all-day comfort and support thanks to the Fresh Foam X cushioning in the midsole. Drawing from the brand’s original 850 silhouette, the 850AT is outfitted with a Vibram outsole, as well as alternative NB branding and webbed nylon detailing.
The Hierro v5 is an ideal option for trail runs, featuring a TPU-coated textile upper with a shrouded construction to ensure debris stay out of the shoe. Similar to the 850AT, the Hierro v5 boasts a Fresh Foam X midsole and Vibram outsole for enhanced traction and durability.
To put the collection to the test, multi-brand retailer One Block Down partnered with New Balance to climb Monte Barro in Northern Italian region of Lombardy. Check out a few shots from the experience in the gallery below.
