Miu Miu madness has officially come for the Swoosh. Not in any technical or official capacity — that's still all New Balance all day. But in every sense but the literal one, Nike's Astra Ultra is a Swoosh-meets-Miu Miu match up.

Made from 3D AI, (talk about living in the future) the quilted upper wears an amorphous wave pattern that bears a stark resemblance to both Miu Miu's Tyre and New Balance 530 sneakers, the latter being Miu Miu’s preferred collaborative model.

Additionally, Nike’s Astra Ultra sits atop a very Miu Miu-esque sandy rubber outsole. Perhaps, more than being an exact Miu Miu dupe, though, the Astra Ultra looks more like a replica of existing Miu Miu doppelgangers out there that look like cross between luxury footwear and weird football sneakers.

Its not exactly Miu Miu, but the aura is there. Afterall, It’s no secret that a growing number of sneakers are pulling inspo from the great minds at Miu Miu. And now, these lookalikes have their own lookalikes.

Whether it be the phantom-leaning adidas Ghost Sprint or the utterly minimal New Balance MT10, Miu Miu’s footwear game has many sons and these inspired sneakers have truly taken on lives of their own.

In reheating Miu Miu's sporty-chic nachos, Nike's Astra Ultra joins a growing number of footwear marvels betting it all on the techy organic semi-flat sneaker shape that the luxury fashion house has become known for.

Nike's Astra Ultra, available on the Nike website for $115, first came out in July 2025 and, as such, is still, at least relatively, the new kid on the block when it comes to techy, molded sneakers.

Novice status aside, though, the Astra Ultra’s futuristic aura exists at perhaps the most optimal time period for slightly strange but very stylish sneakers.
