Nike has announced plans to open a new 69,000-square-foot flagship store in New York. The retailer will be closing its current Niketown store on 57th Street spring in 2018, while the new store is expected to open on 650 Fifth Avenue at West 52nd Street in early 2019.
The five-story building will include “multi-sport assortment of product innovation and services” and a Hyperlive retail concept space. There will also be a dedicated NikePlus members-only floor, which will feature personal shopping advice from a Nike Expert alongside exclusive products and customization.
The Nike App will be integrated into the store. Customers will be able to any scan shoes on the store floor to see if the model is available in their preferred size and colorway, while those who check in will receive push notifications related to their personal style.
