Brands: Noah x Union

Season: FW17 for ComplexCon

Key Pieces: Hoodie, T-shirt, and beanie

Editor’s Notes: As a brand that cares about sustainability and justice for all, NYC’s Noah and Union have joined forces for an exclusive capsule that reflects ideal of racial equality.

The brands utilized a hybrid graphic that fuses Noah‘s core logo with an arrow from the Anti-Natzi League to make its political statement.

For those of you unaware, the Anti-Natzi league was an organization supported by labor unions in the UK that were trying to push out the unwanted element of far right fascism and racism that started to rise in the ’70s and ’80s. Other movements like SHARP (skin heads against racial prejudice) also were prevalent during this period. The original Skinheads weren’t racist at all but a racist wing broke off and tried to overtake the name.

With the current political situation worldwide evoking the same message, this capsule looks to break down that mentality.

Find the entire range at ComplexCon in Long Beach, California starting this Saturday, November 4.
