Neill Blomkamp has unveiled a second trailer for his series of short sci-fi films, titled Volume 1, which will be released to celebrate the opening of his new Oats Studios.

The director, best known for his debut feature District 9 and the more recent Elysium, promises "experimental content" and "more weird shit" with his new project. And judging from the above trailer, it looks like he delivers.

The short clip jumps between stories, giving us a glimpse of various aliens and gory monsters, as well as the humans fighting them — including a screaming Sigourney Weaver.

The whole trailer has a lo-fi '80s vibe, which is sure to please sci-fi fans missing the OG classics — especially anyone who felt let down by the recent Alien reboot.

The short films will be streaming "soon," according to Blomkamp. Watch the new trailer above and, if you missed it, the previous teaser below.
