Ahead of the March premiere, Legendary Entertainment has this week unleashed the second official trailer for Steven S. DeKnight's Pacific Rim Uprising. In this new look we see John Boyega's Jake Pentecost finally attempting to live up to the legacy of his father, who was once an influential Jaeger pilot.

Previously, Pentecost found himself caught up in the criminal underworld, ultimately abandoning his Jaeger training. Now, however, in hopes of obtaining justice for the fallen, Jake must unite with his estranged sister Mako Mori (Rinko Kikuchi), who is leading a brave new generation of pilots against the returning Kaiju.

Alongside Boyega and Kikuchi, Pacific Rim Uprising stars Scott Eastwood, Cailee Spaeny, Jing Tian, Burn Gorman, Adria Arjona, and Charlie Day. The picture is due in theaters March 23.
