What We’re Saying: Following a teaser courtesy of A$AP Rocky, adidas and Prada have officially unveiled their co-branded Forum collection. The drop, which includes apparel for the first time ever in the pair’s partnership, is set to arrive in shops on January 13.

The crown jewel of the collection is the footwear, which is available in all-black and all-white, as well as low-top and high-top versions. The sneakers, as well as the apparel, is constructed using Prada’s signature Re-Nylon material. Patent leather overlays are seen on the toe box, heel, and Three Stripes branding.

Prada and adidas have worked on the Superstar, as well as a performance take on the America’s Cup sneaker since the groundbreaking partnership was announced in 2019. The Forum Low is Prada and adidas’ third collaborative sneaker model.

The release of a “Pradidas” Forum Low falls in line with adidas’ strategy over the past year, which has seen the German sportswear giant focus heavily on the old-school silhouette. First released in 1984, the Forum Low was relaunched and pushed with collaborations, OG colorways, and special editions.

A$AP Rocky is known for favoring clean, no-frills classic sneakers, as he’s often seen wearing general release Vans or adidas Sambas when out and about. That’s why his involvement with the roll out of this project isn’t quite as surprising as it may have seemed at times. His footwear collaborations include projects with Vans and the ’00s skateboarding-inspired Under Armour shoe.

Look for the Prada x adidas Forum collection to arrive on January 13.
