In theory, PUMA ticks all of the right boxes. It’s a global sportswear brand steeped in history and tradition. It has some of the world’s most successful athletes under contract. Yet it still seems to be overlooked and underrated by sneakerheads that prefer the hype adidas and Nike have managed to create over the past few years.

Admittedly, it’s hard for any brand to compete with the popularity and star power of Kanye West’s YEEZY or Virgil Abloh’s “The Ten,” but PUMA doesn’t need to shirk from a fight, having a solid list of collaborators itself, including Chinatown Market, The Hundreds, and Ader Error.

PUMA’s main strength, though, lies in its classic silhouettes. Models such as the PUMA Ralph Sampson (which was relaunched last year) or the PUMA Suede feature clean, functional designs and have withstood the test of time. So instead of chasing the next hyped sneaker drop or signing up for a raffle you know you’re most likely going to lose, scroll through our selection of the best PUMA classics below.
