Editor's Notes: In true running spirit, Run The Boroughs is setting pace on the second leg of its ongoing collaborative partnership with New Balance.

Keen eyes will remember when this team-up stepped into the spotlight last year, arriving as one of New Balance's many collaborative releases of the season. Forming a key part of its co-creative strategy, the ever-popular 991 took point to give weight to the running club's sustained efforts.

Managing strong success with their first outing, the collaboration, which was delivered as part of the London Marathon celebrations, sparked the promise of a sequel. Now, this promise has been realized as the 2022 edition of the city's marathon prepares to kick off in the days ahead.

Take two of their partnership opts for a sneaker silhouette far less steeped in the hype, the MiUK 730.

By all means, a classic within the extensive New Balance archive, the 730 falls into the same realm of runners as the original Nike Waffle – no frills, just sophisticated, dialed-back style.

Rich blue tones wrap around the shoe's mesh and suede upper, while the sole, tongue, and laces maintain a stark white profile. Additional details include insoles with linear graphics that read “TSC LONDON MARATHON,” which extend onto branded tongues representing the 42-kilometer race route.
