Selena Gomez and Netflix have shared the first trailer for the megastar's upcoming TV series, 13 Reasons Why.

Gomez — who is listed as an executive producer in the show's credits — shared the first teaser on her Instagram late last night, which was received positively by her 108 million followers. “A peek at a passion project I’ve been working on with Netflix,” Gomez wrote in the caption.

Based on the young adult novel of the same name, “13 Reasons Why” tells the story of a high school girl named Hannah (Katherine Langford) who commits suicide — much to the confusion and disbelief of her classmates. “I’m about to tell you the story of my life. More specifically, why my life ended,” Hannah says in eerie voiceover to the trailer.

One of the other main characters, Clay (Dylan Minnette,) then receives a shoe box of cassette tapes from his late classmate and love interest, Hannah, along with instructions to pass other tapes to 12 more of their classmates. Each tape explains how they each played a role in her death — hence, 13 Reason Why.

Netflix will premiere 13 Reasons Why on March 31. Check out the trailer above.

In other news, Shia Labeouf has been arrested and charged with assault.
