Last month we reported that Illumination is releasing a new animated holiday film, The Grinch. Set to retell the story of Dr. Seuss’ classic book How The Grinch Stole Christmas, the picture finds English actor Benedict Cumberbatch starring as the Grinch.

In the movie's first official trailer, we see the Grinch going about his daily routine after being rudely awakened by Pharrell's hit song "Happy." From there, he makes his way around a local grocery store, tampering with items that other patrons are looking to purchase.

From the creators of Despicable Me and Minions, and directed by Scott Mosier and Yarrow Cheney, The Grinch is due in theaters November 9.

Stay tuned for more on how the Grinch plans to ruin Christmas for Whoville.

In other movie news, Winnie the Pooh and friends are back in Disney's live-action 'Christopher Robin.'
