Infinity Ward

As the cold fall air starts to takeover, this month’s releases of video games will give you plenty of reasons to stay in and pick up a controller.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare aims to relight the fire under the franchise by going back to the drawing board for its latest installment. Still an arcade FPS, Modern Warfare aims to feel more grounded and realistic than its recent futuristic predecessors.

Infinity Ward benches exo suits and jet packs, for realistic gun recoil and modern war elements. Its bread and butter multiplayer mode receives substantial updates including deeper loadout customization, a massive 64 player ground war mode, and new killstreaks. If you ever wanted to jump back into COD, October 25 is the best time too.

Destiny 2 is getting its highly anticipated fall expansion Shadowkeep, which marks Bungie’s first paid content for the game after splitting away from Activision. In the latest update, guardians are headed back to the moon to fight and discover a mysterious threat that has them fighting nightmares of their past foes. From Crota, to Oryx, to Gaul, all return for hauntingly action-packed good time. The expansion will also feature a new raid, exotic weapons and armors, armor 2.0, PVP maps and more.
