In taking things back to a simpler time when sneakers were released in one place as a regional exclusive, Nike has tapped KITH for the relaunch of its heralded Air Force 1 Linen. The re-release arrives in celebration of the opening of KITH’s new Miami flagship.
The Nike Air Force 1 Linen originally dropped in Japan back in 2001 as part of the brand’s “Concept Japan” collection. The hard-to-find shoe has not ben re-released since.
Now, however, the AF1 Linen is returning as a one-to-one replica of the original, featuring a narrowed shape with premium leather and a neoprene liner. The scheme in turn perfectly combines South Beach’s natural hues, which of course makes it appropriate for the Miami relaunch.
The Air Force 1 Linen will be re-releasing during Art Basel at KITH’s Miami flagship opening.
In further commemoration of KITH’s Art Basel opening, Nike and KITH have tapped legendary contemporary artist Futura to create a one-of-a-kind piece of art in the window that celebrates the artist’s evolution and introduces a new masterpiece.
KITH Miami opens on Friday, December 2 at 1931 Collins Ave.
The Nike Air Force 1 Linen will be raffled on four different days during the first two weeks of KITH Miami’s opening, with the first day being December 2.

KITH also recently teamed up with Iceberg for a Bugs Bunny-inspired collection.
