YouTuber JerryRigEverything takes on his next challenge: Apple’s just-released iPhone 8. Putting the smartphone through a rigorous durability test, JerryRigEverything tests whether or not the iPhone 8 features the most durable smartphone glass ever, as claimed by the Cupertino company.

He quickly concludes the glass on the iPhone 8 scratches at 6 on the Mohs Hardness Scale, which is the exact same score the iPhone 7 received the previous year. He finds the same result on the back camera, potentially proving the casing protecting the camera is not pure sapphire and instead is made of a proprietary blend of glass and sapphire.
