Advisory Board Crystals

Advisory Board Crystals is steeped in deep-rooted love for the natural world, frequently dropping entire collections of sun-drenched hippie-wear as part of its ongoing "Planet Saving Information" series. Its third PSI drop, "Fungi Edition," digs into the mushroom field, translating organic elements into densely layered wearables cut from luxe cloths, a middle ground between the brand's organic influences and opulent aspirations.

Realizations about the health benefits inherent to some breeds of fungi inspired Advisory Board Crystals to infuse the Fungi Edition items with some new-age flavor, updating classic design cues with fanciful touches that range from trippy tie-dye to detailed appliqué. Here, ABC's classic heavyweight hoodies, sweaters, and sweatpants are accompanied by thematic caps and knit beanies for the complete lounge look, the no-nonsense cuts placing full emphasis on the drop's detail-rich construction.

There's flocked text, a paracord drawstring, special wash treatment, glitter prints, woven label, external care tag, holographic patch, and inverted seams finished with overlock stitches on one hoodie alone. And that doesn't even speak of the intentionally chaotic mélange that graces the front and rear of each piece, often riffing on the mushroom motif with fungi graphics, thematic text, and flora-inspired accents like faux moss or blurry and blown-up photographs of organic life.

Of course, there are some more conventional pieces on hand alongside the wild statement bits, including hats emblazoned with on-brand phrases like "μύκης" (Greek for "mushroom," of course) and "Mushroom Exploration." Despite their seemingly simple appearance, even these casual staples are elevated by loads of stitched branding, buckle closure, and Japanese veg-dyed brims — clearly, no detail is too small.

All of the "Planet Saving Information III: Fungi Edition" items are shoppable on Advisory Board Crystals' website and select stockists.
