The late Alexander McQueen will become the subject of a new documentary at this years Tribeca Film Festival. Directed and produced by Ian Bonhôte and Peter Ettedgui, McQueen will chronicle the British designer's beginnings at Central Saint Martins to the start of his eponymous label and its groundbreaking seasonal shows.

McQueen's artistry and attention to detail were consistently regarded as cutting-edge. His infamous Spring/Summer show in 1999, which involved two robots spray painting a dress on a revolving stage, reinforced McQueen's reputation as one of fashion's best.

The new teaser also includes behind-the-scenes footage of further seasonal capsules, home movies, as well interviews with close friends and family.

McQueen will premiere on April 22 at the Tribeca Film festival before rolling out at London’s Picturehouse Central on June 8.
