Apple just unveiled the all-glass iPhone X with a host of new updates and with it brings iOS11, the next major release of the mobile operating system scheduled to debut this fall.

A standout highlight from one of iOS11's new features was the introduction of "Animoji" -- essentially an animated version of the emojis found on the iPhone. According to Apple, Animoji are “custom animated messages that use your voice and reflect your facial expressions.”

The TrueDepth camera located on the front of iPhone X captures and analyzes over 50 different facial muscle movements, then animates those expressions in a dozen different Animoji, including a panda, unicorn, robot, monkey, dog, cat and many others.

Available as an iMessage app pre-installed on iPhone X, users can record and send Animoji messages with their voice that can smile, frown and more.

Now check out the new iPhone 8 featuring new cameras, wireless charging, and AR capabilities.
