Ben Affleck (Sort Of) Gave His Nikes a Break
For the first time in a very long time, Ben Affleck isn't laced up in Nike sneakers (audible gasps). Instead, the actor who once played Nike co-founder Phil Knight opted for a luxury sneaker...that looks like Nikes. You gotta love Ben.
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez were seen exploring the streets of New York City, apparently searching for a potential new home in the bustling metropolis.
While maneuvering from one spot to the next in the always-lively city, Affleck opted for relaxed casuals and high-end skate sneakers for the real estate journey. Specifically, Affleck wore a Carhartt jacket over a plaid button-up shirt layered over a white Nirvana graphic tee.
Along with his "cool dad" layers, Affleck wore some aviator shades and skinny jeans. You saw it here first: the grimace king is on board for the skinny jeans' return.
Finally, Affleck completed his ensemble with Off-White™'s Out of Office sneakers on foot. The sneaker choice puts a pause on Affleck's Nike sneakerhead journey, which launched in full (Air) force while filming the movie about Nike's pursuit of Michael Jordan.
Even days after the Air movie wrapped up, Affleck still flexed some of the most sought-after Nike sneakers on his feet in between daddy duties and Dunkin' Donut runs. Did you know Dunkin's biggest fan also has custom Dunkin' Dunks now?
Affleck's latest outfit sees the Air director sort of give his Nikes a break. I say "sort of" because the Off-White™ shoes look like Nike's Dunk Low sneakers but with an arrow versus the famous check motif striking the side.
Whatever floats the Sad-ffleck meme originator's boat.
Nonetheless, Affleck looked pretty comfortable in his well-layered outfit while house hunting in NYC. He and Lopez are both Northeasterners (Lopez is from the Bronx, and Affleck is a Boston boy), but they both currently reside in California with their family.
It seems they both miss the days of living up north and are looking to switch coasts again. Either that or J-Lo wants to relive her days of being sixteen, running up and down the block in the Bronx.
