While brands such as Prada and Kappa up the ante for fitness gear, BEAMS' women's sub-label Beams Boy have taken things a step further with their latest gym accessory, the sweat beret.

In November last year, Highsnobiety predicted that the accessory was going to be a huge trend in 2018. What we didn't bank on is that the French hat would also become a fitness must-have, but we're not entirely opposed to the idea.

As seen on BEAMS' Instagram, the latest collaborative item is made from sweatpants material and will be available in navy and heather grey. According to the images, the hat also includes a drawstring.

Details about the release for the Champion x BEAMS Japan sweat beret are scarce but we'll be sure to keep you updated when it drops.  Till then, check out the original post above and let us know what you think.
