Over a year ago we got our first look at Stranger Things star David Harbour's portrayal of Hellboy for director Neil Marshall's upcoming reboot. Now as we're getting closer to the film's premiere, Entertainment Weekly shares another glimpse at Harbour's character, while Lionsgate delivers the first official trailer for the movie.

In speaking with EW about the much-anticipated Hellboy and his titular role, Harbour said, “It’s not an origin story, but it’s his coming to terms with where he came from. He’s been Hellboy for a long time, but there’s a new turn of events at the start of the film, where people start to bring up the fact that he might bring about the end of the world, and it’s really the first time he’s heard anything like that. The question that comes up in the movie is where does he really belong?”

As the publication points out, Hellboy is said to be the Beast of Apocalypse, the one eventually responsible for the end of the world. His stone of a right hand serves as the one thing that can release ancient demons that will set the apocalypse in motion. Harbour's Hellboy is unaware of any of this at the beginning of the new movie, however.

Hellboy is based on the graphic novels by Mike Mignola, as the titular character finds himself caught between the worlds of the supernatural and human, forced to go up against an ancient sorceress who is out for revenge. Alongside Harbour, Neil Marshall's Hellboy stars Milla Jovovich, Ian McShane, Daniel Dae Kim and Sasha Lane.

For more on David Harbour and his portrayal of Hellboy, as well as the upcoming film, due in theaters April 12, 2019, follow on over to Entertainment Weekly.
