Drake is collaborating with fellow Canadian singer/songwriter Paul Anka and their project will drop sometime in June. This much was confirmed by Anka at the Canadian Music and Broadcast Industry Awards on May 10, where he received the Lifetime Achievement Award.

While accepting his award, the Canadian crooner said, “I’m working with a brilliant young artist who is as hot as you can get right now, a fellow young Canadian and his name is Drake. We recorded something that will be released, out in June. That’s all I can tell you.”

Two months ago Anka posted a photo of him alongside Drake in the studio on his Instagram account.

Anka wrote his first hit, “Diana,” at the age of 15 and went on to have an incredibly successful career in the music industry. On his way to the lifetime achievement award he just received, he penned classics such as Frank Sinatra’s “My Way,” and Michael Jackson’s “This Is It.”

What do you think the collaboration between the two artists involves? Let us know in the comments.
