Elon Musk has given us our first look at his ferocious Starship Raptor in action. In a recent Twitter post, the SpaceX CEO showed off the force of the engine, which will, if all goes to plan, power his next-generation rocket to Mars.

Although brief, the video delivers a good look at how much power the Raptor packs. Filmed in the SpaceX facility in Texas, take a look at the brilliant, iridescent flames in the post below.

If all goes to plan, the rocket will take Japanese entrepreneur and art collector Yusaku Maezawa around the moon in 2028, and aid the opening of his Mars SpaceX settlement by 2028.
