Fat Joe recently stopped by Beats 1 for an interview with Ebro Darden, and shared his thoughts on Lil Uzi Vert. The Bronx rapper and head of Terror Squad Entertainment called out younger artists at one point in the conversation for their similarities to Lil Wayne.

“You hear all these little kids now who doing hip-hop music, those is all Lil Wayne’s flows. Every last one,” he said. Ebro then brought up Lil Uzi Vert, to which Joe responded: “Lil Uzi is a bad version of Lil Wayne.”

Joe did clear up that overall he’s a fan of Uzi and has “nothing but love” for him – he likes his songs and owns a copy of his most recent album Luv is Rage 2. But nonetheless, Joe said it’s “impossible” for the Grammy-nominated “XO Tour LIif3” rapper to be as good as Lil Wayne.

“[Wayne]’s a G.O.A.T.,” Joe continued. “Not only that, he was lyrically considered the best rapper on Earth for a couple of years. Lil Uzi Vert ain’t gonna get that.” Check out Lil Uzi Vert’s Twitter response below, as well as the clip from Fat Joe’s interview
