Where form meets function

Classic Nintendo consoles that have been recently revived like the mini NES and SNES have been a major hit in the market, and to further fuel that hype for nostalgia, its iconic Game Boy Classic has been reintroduced as an alarm clock.

It’s worth noting that the device might debut once more in a mini edition in 2019, but this officially licensed alarm clock will have to suffice for now if you’re a huge fan of anything Game Boy. The clock lets you wake up to your favorite Nintendo characters, like Mario and more, as it plays the official Super Mario Land theme tune when the alarm sounds.

Overall, the device is styled as the same size as the original Game Boy Classic, even down to the clicky buttons and its distinct detailing like the branding, and grooves indicating the cartridge on top, as well as throughout its rear.

With the classic 8-bit green screen displaying the time, month/day and alarm digitally, you can rest this piece at your bedside table for only less than $35 USD.

In other Nintendo news, the company confirms there will be an animated Mario movie.
