The 2019 Golden Globe Awards took place in Los Angeles last night, with movies Bohemian Rhapsody and Green Book the standout winners at a ceremony full of surprises.

Green Book was the big movie winner, taking home Best Screenplay, Best Supporting Actor for Mahershala Ali, and Best Picture — Musical or Comedy. The other big (and perhaps surprising) winner was Bohemian Rhapsody, starring Remi Malek as Queen frontman Freddie Mercury. The film received mixed reviews and was criticized for its portrayal of Mercury's sexuality.

Elsewhere, Mexican auteur Alfonso Cuarón won Best Director for his acclaimed film Roma, Christian Bale won the Best Actor — Musical or Comedy award for his turn as Dick Cheney in Vice, and The Americans won Best TV Series. Check out the full list below.
