Brand: Invincible x adidas

Model: Futurecraft 4D

Key Features: The Primeknit upper in grey features speckled detail woven into the fabric and sits atop a 4D-printed midsole. adidas and Invincible branding completes the look.

Price: TBC, but likely around $450 USD.

Buy: Pop-up in Taipei, followed by Shanghai in late August.

Editor’s Notes: Following Sneakersnstuff's Futurecraft 4D release from last month, adidas Consortium is gearing up for yet another 4D drop, this time alongside Invincible.

The Taiwanese retailer was chosen to represent Asia as part of the CONSORTIUM4D project. Each of the partners was given ‘Prism’ as the design inspiration and color motif.

With this in mind, Invincible has chosen to go with grey Primeknit on the upper, livened up by multicolored speckles that are woven into the fabric. Three Stripes branding is then featured on the medial side, tongue, toe, and insole, which also bears Invincible tagging. The clear standout of the sneaker, however, is the 4D-printed midsole, made using digital light synthesis.

The Digital Light Synthesis technology will be represented at a series of pop up stores, the first of which is in Taipei on August 4, which will host a visual art installation by Yao Chung-Han.

The Invincible x adidas Consortium 4D will then see a release in Shanghai in late August.
