The iPhone X is certainly a huge upgrade for Apple. Alongside display changes and further sensory improvements on the camera, the much-beloved emoji also got a reboot with the introduction of animoji.

With the update appearing in iOS 11, the new feature soon became a trending topic when technology editor Harry McCracken took to Twitter with his intriguing creation known as "Animoji Karaoke." The premise is simple: users activate the animoji and then film themselves lip-syncing to songs or movies.

In an article for Fast Company, Cracken stated: "Judging from my likes, retweets and comments, I haven’t just been entertaining myself — some people said that it redeemed animoji or justified buying a thousand-dollar phone. Even cynics have taken notice of my breakthrough."

Its sudden newfound use quickly became a trending topic. Peep some of the best entries above and below.
