Louis Vuitton’s Fall 2018 presentation in Paris, which is scheduled for this Thursday, will be Kim Jones’s final with the brand. According to WWD, the men’s artistic director will be exiting the company following Thursday’s show. Since 2011, Jones has been a trend setter at LV who wasn’t afraid to take risks — see his Supreme collab.

The exit seems amicable based on WWD‘s report. Michael Burke, Vuitton’s chairman and chief executive officer reportedly wished the designer “continued success in his next venture,” with the brand describing Jones as “the driving force behind some of the Maison’s most successful projects and collaborations.”

At the moment, it’s uncertain who Vuitton will choose to be his successor. Of course, there’s also the question of where Jones will go now. Back in September it was reported that Versace was interested in hiring Jones, but an official deal/confirmation has yet to surface. Another option is Burberry, who’s to part ways with Christopher Bailey at the end of March.

Ultimately, this means we can expect Jones to go out with a bang for his final show on Thursday, so keep your eyes peeled for our coverage.

Also, in case you missed it, Kim Jones recently spoke with Virgil Abloh at London’s Barbican Centre about the relationship between high fashion and streetwear. Check it out below:
