Designer: Louis Vuitton

Location: Paris

Season: FW19

Editor’s Notes: Virgil Abloh came through with strong details in his FW19 collection for Louis Vuitton, championing Americana, diversity, pro-immigration attitudes, and King of Pop Michael Jackson with bags, jackets, sunglasses, and embellishments on garments.

Flags featured heavily, with the United States, various European countries, Ghana, and other lands repped on briefcases, backpacks, and side bags, and reinterpreted as scarves, shirts, jackets, and collars.

Tributes to Jackson were sprinkled throughout, too, on knitwear depicting his iconic white jumpsuit, T-shirt prints, a ceremonial sash on a gray military-style jacket, and in the words "Human Nature" embroidered on the back of another.

Take a closer look at the details in the gallery above, and then discover what industry insiders made of the Louis Vuitton FW19 collection in the video below.

Next, see what Yasiin Bey, Offset, Skepta, and others wore to the show.
