2026 is the year that Louis Vuitton's monogram turns 130. How to celebrate? Pack the maison's New York pop-up space with a wall-to-wall celebration of all things LV monogram, from vintage trunks to some of the most collectible monogrammed goods in LV history.

Highsnobiety was the very first outlet to go inside and scope out Louis Vuitton's 130th anniversary monogram celebration in early January, which encompasses a host of rooms and attractions tied to the main event.

LV went all out to celebrate its signature pattern's latest milestone, basically assembling a mini-exhibit in the name of a birthday blowout.

Inside, vintage Louis Vuitton bags and trunks were on display, some packed with precious wares — including Ruinart champagne, one of the many spirits companies owned by parent company LVMH — and some affixed with monogrammed doodads, including a particularly tasty LV donut. One wall was draped with leather tags and another with LV's Vivienne mascot, suitably dudded up in matching monogrammed canvas.

There was enough monogrammed canvas in here to wallpaper a small house, in fact.

Louis Vuitton's signature textile, a PVC-coated brown cotton canvas typically marked with lighter brown LV logos and floral motifs, was ubiquitous and why not? It's the star of the show, although throwback monogrammed linen canvas and Pharrell's high-vis Speedy bags make worthy competitors for the spotlight.

But even with Louis Vuitton artisans on site to repair and paint customer initials on well-loved bags, perhaps the best moments came from the LV ephemera scattered around. The ad-hoc LV gym located nearby a champagne room — every birthday's gotta have one — was an obvious highlight, with a luxurious bench press balanced on either side by LV Neverfull bags stuffed with gilded monogram dumbbells. Perfect.

The monogram pop-up, which runs until mid-February at 104 Prince St, is only one side of Louis Vuitton's yearlong celebration of the monogram. (Isn't every year a celebration of the monogram?) Previously, the maison announced a commemorative capsule of limited-edition monogrammed bags that reference historic styles while promising to veritably stuff 2026 with all things LV monogram. And that's not even touching on all the other happenings scheduled throughout the year, including the usual seasonal highlights and textural innovations.

But, even with a bunch of A-list ambassadors riding the LV train — quite literally — in the name of the house's Wes Anderson reunion, this is the year that Louis Vuitton is all about the monogram. You only turn 130 once!
