Mizuno

Dutch clothing store Calico Jack is celebrating its 6th anniversary, and Mizuno is joining the festivities by dropping an all-white Wave Creation Waveknit. The color choice is inspired by how different artists use white and how the lack of color makes the viewer focus more on shape, form, and material. In the case of this sneaker, it draws your eyes to the dichotomy of the soft and hard materials, as well as the geometric form of the upper.

To further highlight this connection, Mizuno shot the lookbook in the styles of five famous artists: Christo Vladimirov Javacheff, Donald Judd, Anish Kapoor, Damien Hirst, and James Turrell.

The Wave Creation Waveknit will drop in limited numbers August 1 at Calico Jack. The store is also having an anniversary party that night at 5 p.m. local time.
