Nike‘s Jordan Brand unveiled its 2019 summer footwear collection over the weekend. The collection includes the Air Jordan 14 “White/Red,” Air Jordan 13 “Cap and Gown,” Air Jordan 7 “Ray Allen,” Air Jordan “Reflections of a Champion” collection, Air Jordan 4 “Flyknit,” and Air Jordan 14 “University Gold.”
The collection is set for release over the course of April and June. Colorways range from stitch-for-stitch OG retros to brand new styles. For an overview of the collection, read on below.
Nike Air Jordan 14 “White/Red”
Release Date: April 6
Editor’s Notes: This OG colorway of the Air Jordan 14 is celebrating its 20th anniversary. The silhouette was inspired by the Ferrari 550 M Michael Jordan drove and has been reproduced as a stitch-by-stitch replica of the original design, including original packaging and signature hangtags.
Nike Air Jordan 13 “Cap and Gown”
Release Date: April 27
Price: TBC (expected to be $200)
Editor’s Notes: Following the “Cap and Gown” Air Jordan 11, the Air Jordan 13 is getting the same treatment. The colorway is inspired by the many sneakerheads who have celebrated life milestones in Air Jordans.
Nike Air Jordan 7 “Ray Allen”
Release Date: June 1
Editor’s Notes: Ray Allen wore some of the most coveted player-edition Air Jordans during his time in the NBA. This release celebrates the 23rd anniversary of his draft by combining two Allen PEs from his time in Milwaukee.
Nike Air Jordan “Reflections of a Champion” collection
Release Date: June 8
Editor’s Notes: This collection comprises three silhouettes, the Air Jordan 6, 7, and 8, all of which have been wrapped in reflective material. The shoes celebrate Michael Jordan’s first three championships, as they were the shoes he wore as he achieved his first three-peat.
Nike Air Jordan 4 “Flyknit”
Release Date: June 14
Editor’s Notes: Jordan Brand is giving the Air Jordan 4 a modern update, replacing the leather upper with Nike’s proprietary Flyknit material. The collection comes in four colorways, each of which will be released on June 14 in a different place. The Air Jordan 4 celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2019.
Nike Air Jordan 14 “University Gold”
Release Date: June 22
Editor’s Notes: This Air Jordan 14 is a non-OG colorway that’s a yellow take on the “Ferrari” colorway released in 2014.
